sorry it's been so long since my last entry. we've been too busy busting our butts working on development for the new version of lastdaysjournal as well as fine-tuning our pitch.
but now i'm back, and i plan to catch you up, so here goes. first exciting bit of news is that we had our very first pitch today. it was with the interactive department at one of the three major networks. they were interested, but there's a lot to do before we'll have any idea whether or not it could be a mutually beneficial situation, so we are planning to continue talks with them but also plan to ramp up our efforts at getting pitches more in-line with what we think would benefit the project most in the meantime.
i'm sure there will be more to share soon so stay-tuned.
so this is what we've got so far - taken far too long for my tastes to get here, but at least we got this. we'll be tightening it up as we go, but this is what will screen at kendall graduation screening next week:
trailer coming very, very soon. here's a little animated loop of our 3D king's landing work by the lovely and talented keith turner.
If you've been wondering where we've been, believe me we've been busy. Kendall and all her crew have been shooting their thesis projects for LAFS. Including the piece she personally produced, Napoleon, a fun love story starring this cute, little dog.
Denny and I in the meantime have been making ourselves busy with other projects as well and finished the recent San Diego 48 hour film festival with Le Douche (produced and directed by Denny and produced and AD'd by yours truly).
Most importantly, we're cutting together a little Last Days trailer using the first episode footage we've got so far that we'll post here and in various other locations as soon as it's good and ready. So cool your jets, it's coming.
So Keith Turner, our bad ass digital graphic artist, is working on a 3D model for our King's Landing dream sequences. I've been quite pleased all along to be totally honest, but what he's doing now is making me completely ecstatic.
Doesn't look at all like a 3D model, huh? And it's not even done yet.
We're not going to be shooting these scenes until August - by which time I'm hoping to be a little bit more svelte, since I'll be playing Allan myself - but I'm sure the environment in which my image will be green-screened will be incredible.
Bravo, Keith!
